![]() One episode yesterday really struck me, called “The Wanderer” Richard Greene makes for an engaging take on Robin Hood (He’s not a young angsty type, the actor was in his late 30’s when filming took place) It’s an old fashioned sort of affair with limited sets, but a cast giving it there all. One of the Freeview channels is screening this British series which ran from 1955 to 1959. So I don’t know when they would have met and talked, but I completely agree, they would have liked each other a LOT. And they worked together many times when Dick came back to Gotham or Washington (if Babs was in her Congresswoman Gordon era) but Babs didn’t interact with the Teen Titans. In the 70’s and 80’s Dick had had a crush on Babs (who was about ten years older than he was after all) but she thought he was an admirable hero, but very definitely still a kid. That’s an interesting question, when DID Kory first meet Babs?īecause the “Dick and Babs have always had a thing for each other” didn’t appear until the mid 90’s. ![]() Like, maybe she doesn’t particularly like Kory, Babs can be petty sometimes, but Koriand'r deserves more than 'the alien’ that Dick will eventually dump. I’ve never SEEN him so content, have you Master Bruce” until Bruce finally crumbles and admits, that yes, she’s pretty damned awesome.Īlso, can we touch on the fact that Babs would never let Bruce get away with calling Kory ‘the alien’ either? Of course, this could be sorted out with a few family dinners, where Kory is her charming best AND kicks Batman’s ass at hand to hand combat without even using her starbolts AND Bruce has to listen to Alfred’s absolute adoration for “this wonderful, passionate, young woman who has brought so much happiness to Master Dick. You do NOT get to be dismissive about her under ANY circumstances.īruce actually having a little resentment towards her for “stealing” his kid I could sort of see (because Bruce can be petty about such things as many otherwise decent parents can at first), but this is outright character assassination. “The alien”? Dude that is the literal princess who has changed your oldest kid’s life for the better in every possible way. I may have been a dyed in the wool, long form, comic geek for more than a few decades, and I’m pleased to say it still takes a lot to really irritate me, but dear lord did this panel irritate the hell out of me as soon as I saw it. “The alien” ……BRO WHY YOU ACTING LIKE YOU DON’T HAVE A SUBTEXTLY HOMOEROTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH CLARK’S ALIEN ASS
